Through a collaborative effort this conference was sponsored by the Medical Benevolence Foundation and the Mary K Center for Global Nursing Development, along with local Kenyan organizations, to help transform healthcare delivery through nursing leadership.
Three different learning tracks are available for view:
- Track 1: Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Principles
- Track 2: Nursing and Midwifery Practice and Health Services Delivery
- Track 3: The Role of Nurses in Integrating Research into Clinical Practice.
“To help create change that will last, our workforce must feel empowered,” said Dr. Nandili, Director of Nursing Services for Kenya. “They must become leaders of change that not only improves those work conditions, but more importantly, improves the care delivered to our patients.”
Our MBF CEO agreed with this sentiment and shared, “To achieve great change, states Andy Mayo, CEO, “we are working together to change the current conventional wisdom, change the current approach on nursing. This conference is an important step in that direction.”
