MBF Introduces Lisa Alianiello, Neonatal/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, as new Director of Center for Global Nursing Development

A key mission for the MBF Center for Global Nursing Development is advancing nursing practice and enabling our international partners to implement international standards into practice. After an extensive international search, we believe we have found the right person to accelerate those efforts.

MBF is pleased to announce Lisa Alianiello as the new director of the Center for Global Nursing Development.

Andrew Mayo, MBF CEO said, “with a great combination of professional training, international experience and education, MBF is fortunate to have a nursing executive of Lisa’s caliber and experience to propel us forward into a new era in global nursing leadership.”

Lisa Alianiello, RN, MSN, NNP-BC, PNP-AC, lives in central Ohio, where she currently provides newborn/high-risk delivery coverage for the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital as well as pediatric patient care for the Akron Children’s Hospital Clinic. She has over 30 years of high-level nursing experience, with special expertise as a Nurse Practitioner working in both Emergency Medicine and Neonatology.

Also, of great importance to her role in leading the Center, Lisa served as the Clinical Lead Educator for the Advanced Neonatal Survival Program at Ohio State University. She worked in collaboration with the Ministries of Health in Tanzania, Swaziland, Kenya, Rwanda and Haiti to help local hospitals and clinics develop specialty neo-natal survival programs.  She served as a mentor and a trainer – identifying natural leaders and guiding them to ensure the program remained sustainable.

We hope you will join us as we work to create opportunities for collaboration, mentoring, and capacity building for the global nursing workforce. Together, we can strengthen each other.
